Can your ideas help promote our volunteer service and help unpaid carers find their inner smile? Our volunteer service needs you. At Carers Trust East Midlands, we have spent years looking out for carers, those unsung heroes who give up their lives to look after a loved one. We aim to support unpaid carers across the City and County of Nottingham to make new friendships and maintain old ones and have a life outside their caring role. Use your natural flare to make our volunteer service a household name. Help and encourage people to join our happy band of volunteers. Raise funds, create smiles and enjoy the satisfaction of a successful service you have supported. Personal Qualities -A creative flare with the eye to see opportunities -A good understanding of the importance of confidentiality and a respect the privacy of others -Flexibility, and the ability to operate within the boundaries of the role -A friendly and sensitive approach -Excellent listening skills and an ability to build a rapport with others -Ability to respect the personal choice of lifestyles of colleagues, carers and people with care needs, ensuring that equal opportunities are applied at all time Induction & Training -Volunteers are supported with an induction session before commencement.
