Our service portfolio includes mental health, intellectual disability and specialist mental health services, community physical health for both adults and children, prison health and our low, medium and high secure hospitals including Rampton Hospital. The Trust is also involved in a number of collaborations in research and innovation with the Institute of Mental Health, the University of Nottingham and other partners. Our services are provided by 8,900 staff in hospitals, community settings and patients' own homes, predominately in Nottinghamshire, but services are also provided in Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Leicestershire. An opportunity has arisen for the post of ICT Facilities Manager within the ICT department of Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The Trust has an ambitious strategy to use information technology to radically change the way it delivers its services to patients. This includes the widespread use of mobile technologies, replacement of paper records by electronic records, integration of systems and continued development of business intelligence systems. A key element in supporting this strategy is the continued development of the supporting ICT infrastructure. This includes two modern data centres, a number of ICT Comms Rooms that are scattered around the Trusts more than 100 sites. This is a key role designed to proactively manage the specification, installation, maintenance & ongoing development of the physical environments hosting the core ICT infrastructure of the Trust including: Power Cooling Rack-space provision Environmental Monitoring & Alerting Energy Efficiency of core ICT Facilities As manager of ICT Facilities you will be expected to develop a good understanding of Trust sites together with the locations of the dedicated ICT rooms and fixed equipment. You will be required to work across all ICT operational teams and be the main link between ICT and Estates on all operational matters to do with ICT facilities including office moves. You will therefore need technical experience in any of the ICT operational teams i.e. a Endpoint or Server or Network. You will also work to align the resilience capabilities of the departments facilities with the requirements of ICT Disaster Recovery plans, identifying non-compliant areas and specifying resolutions. We are looking for an individual with a passion for the innovative use of technologies in managing the Trusts Comms Rooms and improving the quality of ICT services to our staff and patients. You must be a self-motivated team player, with a positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills. A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
